Michelle Obama domain sold at GoDaddy TDNAM but will the buyer pay?

It seems that the expired domain, MichelleObama.com was auctioned off at the GoDaddy TDNAM, after several days of bidding.

For a domain that has been under WHOIS protection since at least 2008, we aren’t sure if the owner who let it expire did so knowingly.

MichelleObama.com was sold at TDNAM.

MichelleObama.com was sold at TDNAM.

Regardless, the auction at TDNAM which reportedly ended at $3,500 dollars leads to the following question: Would the winner pay, and if they did, would they be safe from any future late night knocks on their door? πŸ˜€

While political domains have always been in the spotlight, Michelle Obama is the First Lady and her role is completely different than that of the President, or any politician for that matter.
