After going off on a tirade on Facebook about not getting any love or media coverage from domain bloggers, domain registrar Namecheap announced the availability of discounted web hosting services.
The price: a paltry $10 annually, or less than the average cost of a dot .com registration. There are several tiers of web hosting, however, this is the basic price.
While shared cPanel hosting isn’t a feasible option for most busy web sites, the price can be considered a good deal for countries where budgets are tight, such as India, the Philippines and other developing economies.
“Our new shared web hosting packages deliver the latest server hardware, a 100% network uptime guarantee, and the world’s #1 control panel. All for less than the cost of a domain name,” said Matt Russell, Vice President. “We’re confident these shared hosting plans are the best all-around packages on the market.”
