The Pirate Bay moved to North Korea.
The “pirates” of The Pirate Bay are on the move again.
After hopping around between various ccTLDs thanks to the efforts of anti-piracy and government agencies, The Pirate Bay found temporary solace in Sweden.
You can bid goodbye to the Swedish .SE ccTLD however, as a raid by the Swedish authorities resulted in the confiscation of computers and other materials.
The Pirate Bay has now found safe harbor in North Korea, under the auspice of its supreme leader, Kim Jong-un, who exclaimed:
“We welcome spirit of anti-capitalist for base software download and attack Sony insult movies, The Pirate Bay honor stay in great nation of North Korea as I approve!”
The reference was made with regards to the upcoming movie “The Interview“, a Sony comedy that involves a fictional attempt to assasinate Kim Jong-un.
If you visit The Pirate Bay be aware that your traffic to North Korea might be supporting both illegal and terrorist activities.
