Sean Ottey, also known as “Evangelist Ninja” for Rightside, explains his function within the company:
“Talking to the world about how to grow their business with new domain extensions and the readable web.”
In the new era of the expanded Internet lanes, a corporate evangelist’s role is quite important; it’s not mere marketing or public relations, it’s the accurate – yet, enthusiastic – projection of a company’s mantra to the world.
With that in mind, a recent tweet by Sean caught our attention, with regards to NameJet:
“@namejet is a great auction site. Since I am associated with a partner I can’t use it. So I use @FlippaDomains . @Sedo is also great.”
We weren’t aware of this, and as NameJet is a great domain auction platform, it must be really disappointing for associate company employees to not be allowed to bid on domains there.
However, in a world overcome with greed, it is great seeing a traditional approach to ethics, that promotes an honest approach to doing business.
