Wikileaks leaked a cache of allegedly official CIA documents today, and tagged them with #Vault7.
The hashtag soon became viral on social media like Twitter, Facebook and – perhaps – Instagram.
Upping the game between government agencies and the Donald Trump administration, Wikileaks most likely routed traffic to the matching .com domain, Vault7.com.
Its Brazilian registrant, a developer who registered the domain in 2006, might soon ponder why there is an increase to his active web site’s traffic.
Other extensions were registered today, after the Wikileaks announcement:
Vault7.org, Vault7.info, Vault7.us – Vault7.club was registered in February.
Personally, we believe this is a waste of money.
Naturally, traffic will subside as soon as the relevance of the keyword washes away in the usual sea of daily news.
