A few days after acquiring X.com, uber-entrepreneur, Elon Musk, has finally launched it.
The minimalist web site, contains the letter “X” at the upper left corner, marking the spot most often reserved for a graphic or logo.
“I’m a no-frills guy, and decided to just place the letter ‘X’ there. Who needs a complex, boring logo, when a simple letter allows the page to load so much faster,” said Elon Musk.
But that’s not all, it seems.
In a joint venture with Daniel Negari, Elon Musk has acquired the domains Y.com and Z.com.
“Daniel is a brilliant guy, and despite what some people might think about the current low numbers of .XYZ domains, he has a backup plan,” said Elon Musk.
Indeed, as we predicted, .XYZ domain registrations have fallen back to their pre-penny promo numbers, and it’s not looking good at all.
By acquiring X.com, Y.com and Z.com as a joint venture with Elon Musk, the XYZ founder prolongs the impact these letters have in the domain industry.
“Thank you, Elon, for the compliment, you’re not so bad yourself,” said Daniel Negari, adding: “Generation XYZ is fast becoming X,Y,Z and this is what I intended to do all along!”
Expect more great things from X.com, Y.com, Z.com and XYZ in the coming months.
