The FBI seized #Backpage .com and its affiliate web sites

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) seized and shut down Backpage.com, and its affiliate web sites. Law enforcement agencies seized the classifieds site, according to Axios.com, due to accusations of hosting ads linked to illegal sex trafficking.

In March, the Senate agreed to send a bill to President Trump’s desk, that will make it possible for victims of sex trafficking to sue web sites, if they knowingly facilitate the crime through the content they host.

According to AZ News:

Seven people have been indicted on 93 counts of several different crimes related to the classifieds website, Backpage.com. The crimes include money laundering and running a website to facilitate prostitution. The FBI confirmed Friday that agents raided the Sedona home of Michael Lacey, the founder of Backpage.com. It is not clear how many have been arrested in the investigation.

Backpage.com is now hosted on the Seized Servers DNS operated by the FBI.

In recent weeks, Craigslist pulled its personals section completely, to remove the potential of such action against the company.

Horrible choice of domains to have regged for their site, if they are trying to claim that they were NOT promoting sex trafficking.

    backpagecompimps.com
    backpagepimp.com
    backpagepimps.com

Seizing the site is not going to fix the problem, it going to make it more difficult to trace as they will go under the dark web.

Prostitution should be legalized and taxed so is online gambling and marijuana.

Seems like we are going backward instead of forward thinking.
