LuckyMag.com, the domain of Lucky Magazine – a magazine about shopping and style published by The Lucky Group – closed down in 2015.
The asset once belonged to the same prestigious publishing group that included Vogue and The New Yorker, and boasted more than 1 million subscribers at some point. Lucky magazine was Advertising Age’s Magazine of the Year in 2003.
After the business was liquidated, the domain LuckyMag.com remained under the management of Advance Magazine Publishers Inc.. The domain itself was controlled by an email address belonging to a law firm, sabinfirm.com.
It seems that the latter does not resolve, which effectively took the managing email, domains@sabinfirm.com, offline. Without an active email recipient for renewals, the domain LuckyMag.com expired and dropped. It was originally registered in 2000, and the former holding company – Advance – operates from Advance.com.
It’s being now auctioned on DropCatch, where it has reached five figures with less than 2 hours to go.
