Manual Domains, a new secure domain trading platform launched in beta over the weekend.
Founded by domain industry partners, Manos Chrysanthemos and Shang Fri Ling, the new joint venture is brilliant in its concept: manually handling all domain name transactions – no exceptions.
From domain registrations, to domain pushes, to account changes down to delivering domains and sales earnings – all is done manually. The company employs 45 people in the US, Canada, and BVI.
“At Manual Domains, we shift the domain paradigm so often abused by other domain registrars,” said Manos Chrysanthemos, CEO of Manual Domains.
“We take security seriously, and learned from the best; I worked with Monte Cahn at Moniker back in the day, and no domain was ever lost. And now, we’ll do it better and cheaper!” exclaimed Manos Chrysanthemos, eating a hefty gyro with Greek fries.
Co-founder and COO, Shang Fri Ling of the British Virgin Islands, agrees:
“Our company is doing a tremendous job hand-delivering all domains, picking up the suitcases of cash from every sale and storing the proceeds in secure vaults in Switzerland. We are aiming for 10,000 transactions per month after our first year in operation. So far, we’ve handled twenty one manual domain transfers in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Dubai, Athens/Greece, and Cyprus.”
Manual Domains aims to provide domain investors with a live domain auction platform, where bidders call in to place bids. The entire manual process won’t be available on the Internet for obvious security reasons.
