Homeland Security Investigations has seized multiple domain names associated with Streameast, a popular live sports streaming site in the United States. Streameast was casually pirating content from more than a dozen networks.
The seized domains now display a banner accusing the site of illegal activity and warning users of potential prison sentences.
Despite these actions, the site’s operators have swiftly relaunched the service, vowing to continue their mission until affordable sports streaming is accessible to everyone.
The seized domains include:
- streameast.io
- streameast.xyz
- streameast.live
- thestreameast.io
- thestreameast.to
- thestreameast.xyz
As it usually happens in these cases, the digital pirates have moved to a different TLD to continue their activities.
