Sedo removed the stolen domain, SOT.com, from its marketplace, and terminated its auction.
As we reported yesterday, the owner of SOT.com reached out to us with information about the domain’s unlawful transfer away from Dotster, to Spanish domain registrar, Nominalia; the owner is working on getting the domain back.
According to our research, the domain thief is the same individual involved in several high profile domain hijacking cases, such as that of ASZ.com, 988.com, 864.com and more. In the past, the domain thief approached numerous domain brokers to sell these domains directly. He has been banned on several marketplaces and domain forums.
Clearly, Sedo maintains zero tolerance towards the selling of stolen domain assets in its marketplace.
Recently, Sedo removed the domains OLP.com and FDE.com from its marketplace; these domains, however, remain stolen.
