We wrote about 2020.com last year, as the perfect domain for 2020. Naturally, 2020 turned out to be a terrible year globally, thanks to the onslaught of the Coronavirus spreading out of Wuhan, China.
For years, the domain 2020.com forwarded to an Amazon book, written by an eye doctor who owned the domain.
The content of 2020.com changed very recently, and it’s now an amalgam of visual aids for driving (glasses, sunglasses) and references to driving lessons.
The domain’s WHOIS went dark this week, while remaining at Network Solutions and on the same DNS.
So has 2020.com been sold, or is it being developed by its ham enthusiast registrant?
The quality of the content is not of the standards one would expect from a valuable NNNN .com domain such as 2020.com – Even if 2020 goes down history as the worst year in recent memory due to the tremendous loss of life to the Covid-19 pandemic.
