American arrested for carving .XYZ domain name on Colosseum wall

An American tourist in Italy was arrested today, during an otherwise regular visit to Rome’s Colosseum amphitheater.

In an act of vandalism, 20 year old Bob Plantofski of Sacramento, California, carved part of his domain name with a knife onto the ancient walls.

Getting ready to take a selfie, Plantofski carved DUDE4TW, his upcoming web site about games, college, and recreational drugs; Italian police arrested him before he was able to tag the .XYZ in the end.

Defacing the walls of ancient monuments in such manner, is punishable by law in Italy and other countries such as Greece; acts of disrespect and vandalism can produce lengthy sentencing and a hefty fine for the perpetrators.

Moral of the story: stick to taking selfies with your domain on your t-shirt, and leave the ancient monuments alone.
