A lot of domainers have complained in the past about the quality, speed and range of wi-fi at domainer conferences.
With Domainfest becoming a domainer event with a smaller footprint than prior years, it was only natural that TRAFFIC 2012 in Ft. Lauderdale – the brain child of domain king, Rick Schwartz – would take the lead in innovation, once again.
“For the upcoming TRAFFIC conference in October, the wi-fi coverage will be 100 times as big,” said Rick Schwartz.
“The range will be rock solid and denser than before, just like the hors d’oeuvres buffet. We’re adding as many as 50 human wi-fi hotspots by utilizing homeless men in the area,” Rick added.
The concept is revolutionary: homeless people will be wired up to act as hot spots, wandering around the Ft. Lauderdale area as usual.
The TRAFFIC wi-fi will thus be extended by a small human army of hotspots, providing the necessary wireless coverage that’s needed for the TRAFFIC event to function flawlessly.
Each human wi-fi hotspot will cost about $20 in cash plus a free meal daily. Applications are being accepted currently, so if you have a favorite homeless man in the area now it’s the time to let them know of this exciting employment opportunity.
