Bohemian Rhapsody : 20th Century Fox bought the .com from #domain investors

The saga of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the Queen biopic movie, came to an end in January, when shooting of the much delayed film was completed.

With a scheduled release date of November 2, 2018 in the US, Bohemian Rhapsody is a movie titled after one of the most successful albums of all time.

The Queen super group offered their blessings to the 20th Century Fox production, except for Freddie Mercury, who passed on November 24, 1991.

In an extraordinary move, 20th Century Fox recently acquired the domain BohemianRhapsody.com from its previous owners, who are domain investors.

The domain was registered in 2000, presumably by a fan of the group. By 2009, the domain was already parked at Sedo, owned by Kenya based, Synergy Technologies LLC, operating from Synergytech.com.

They held the domain at least until 2017, when BohemianRhapsody.com was up for sale at the Uniregistry Market. Then, it was moved to Epik with WHOIS privacy on.

Since February 22nd of this year, the domain is in the possession of the Intellectual Property Department of Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, indicating that a domain sale took place.

Was it a six figure sale? Queen fans around the world consider it priceless. Visit BohemianRhapsody.com.
