Buno.com: Adam Dicker’s old domain to be developed finally!

Domains that aren’t developed early on might be resold multiple times before that magic moment arrives; in the case of Buno.com, a domain registered in 2000, it took 25 years!

That’s right: a quarter of a century had to pass by for Buno.com to be acquired by an apparent end-user for $95,000 dollars via Sedo.

Andrew Allemann mentioned that he sold Buno.com “for pennies” in 2005. This type of domain flipping delta must be devastating now but seasoned domain investors get over that feeling rather quickly.

Let’s take a look at the domain’s history, courtesy of DomainTools.

Between 2007 to 2015, Buno.com is parked at various PPC providers, with odd typo-ads such as “Buno Mars” showing up. In 2017 the domain was listed for sale on Undeveloped—the company that would become DAN.com—with a price tag of 29,500 Euro. That same price tag appears on another capture in 2019.

Historic WHOIS records exist since 2005, with Andrew Allemann’s parking of it on Sedo and TrafficClub.

That same year, it changed hands, moving to Adam Dicker‘s company “PowerWindows Inc.” It appears that the Canadian domainer parked the living crap out of Buno.com until 2007 and earnings were not that spectacular.

Despite a corporate name change to “Sunstil Corporation” the domain remained with Dicker until August of 2007, moving to a Hungarian domain investor who carried on with PPC parking providers: Sedo, then FastPark, then Parked.com. That registrant incorporated as “Impact Ltd.” with a locale in the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines—quite the exotic location.

In 2013, our Hungarian friend moved back to European soil as “Dawera Ltd.” and parked the domain at Voodoo.com, continuing the endless string of PPC parking for Buno.com. By 2020 the domain was using Efty landers while being behind WHOIS Privacy.

By 2024, Buno.com was listed for sale on DAN with a $95,000 dollar price tag. We are confident that the domain’s seller is Dawera Ltd. that also own Bunu.com.

So there you have it: Buno.com is now in the hands of the person or company that spent almost $100k with an intention to develop it. Could it be the folks behind Buno.ai? 🤔
