Business woman dropped BusinessWoman.com

A business woman from Sweden somehow lost one important asset: The domain name BusinessWoman.com.

Wonna I de Jong appears to have held the domain BusinessWoman.com since March 2009, acquiring it from Mike Mann‘s Domain Asset Holdings LLC, the official name of DomainMarket.com.

The domain was registered in 2003, although it did exist prior to that. Here’s an Archive.org capture from 2000.

BusinessWoman.com was pointed to Wonna.se, presumably the official web site of Wonna I de Jong; the domain expired in late December 2022 while at the Ascio registrar, with DNS provided by Swedish hosting company, Manufrog.

It is not clear what type of inactivity led to the domain’s expiration and subsequent loss.

So who is Wonna I de Jong?

According to the Wonna.se web site, last updated in 2013:

Selfmade bussineswoman, Swedish Entrepreneur, born in Poland. One of the biggest private owner of real estate, over 850 apartments, 100 commercial locations, castle Yxtaholms Slott, 100 ha forest (nearly 250 acres), private island, lake and land properties.

An alternate web site is WonnaFast.se.

Upon dropping, the domain BusinessWoman.com was caught by DropCatch where it was listed in a 3 day auction.

The auction ends in one day and has received several bids, with the highest bidder willing to spend a little over $5,000 dollars, currently. Perhaps a business woman would spend a substantial amount of money to acquire this premium domain name.

Update 1/31/2023: The auction closed at $7,558 dollars; some witnessed errors while attempting to bid in the final minutes or seconds.
