Did Hank Alvarez sell out to new SnapNames owners?

We haven’t heard from Hank Alvarez for a while – the notorious shill bidder that created the “halvarez” scandal as a former VP at SnapNames.

Hank Alvarez – or “Hanky” as he’s often known – declared his repentance on multiple occasions, stating that he’s a changed man and an honest domain auction entrepreneur.

Something is not right, however, as his primary web site HankAlvarez.com is now forwarding to KeyDrive.lu

KeyDrive is the Luxemburg-based company that acquired SnapNames along with Moniker from Oversee.

Could it be that Hank Alvarez cut a deal with the new owners?

Are we to expect “halvarez” to appear once again from the darkness of domain auctions as an active member at the company he helped launch? The domain is still listed for sale at Sedo, however.

We’re not sure yet, but it’s a strange domain world we live in.

Mr. Hanky is a piece of shit: http://x.co/g31B

  2. Lucius "Gunz" Fabrice says:

David – You think Hanky is still a dirty old domainer and has not really repented for his sins?

  3. To have him on staff or associated with your virtual company would be business suicide in my view
