Domain industry mergers aren’t rare, but when they happen they seem to involve company A swallowing company B whole.
This kind of “big fish / small fish” mentality isn’t always healthy, because it signals the end of life for the company that fits the smaller fish size.
Think of Donuts eating up Rightside for lunch, for example.
There is, however, an interesting mergerΒ – or rather, convergence of services – that will be revealed in the coming weeks.
We can’t wait to share the news, but for now, we have to maintain our Boy Scout Oath and promise not to leak, insinuate, hint, disclose or otherwise disseminate absolutely any type or amount of information, related to what is going to happen.
If you’re looking for juicy details, we’ll share them once we get the “go ahead” from the domain industry entities involved.
The announcement might coincide with MERGE! 2017 in Orlando, if everything goes as planned.
We’ll keep you posted.

Gut tells me something about Netsol/Enom
Robert – Interesting idea, but no. π
DomainGang buys The Domains, lays off staff, merges both blogs into one, announces going public with a initial .00019 bitcoin opening stock offering and that the new blog will rebrand to a .horse domain extension. This has been well known for awhile amongst the insider Domainers and equestrian owners. So it’s not a secret anymore.
My guess is it is something amazing!
Kevin M – Love the way you’re thinking π
KW – Long time no see! And yes, it will be amazing, for the companies involved.
