Domain industry mergers aren’t rare, but when they happen they seem to involve company A swallowing company B whole.
This kind of “big fish / small fish” mentality isn’t always healthy, because it signals the end of life for the company that fits the smaller fish size.
Think of Donuts eating up Rightside for lunch, for example.
There is, however, an interesting merger – or rather, convergence of services – that will be revealed in the coming weeks.
