A new press release from DomainTools was sent out earlier today, hinting of imminent changes to the most popular WHOIS tool:
To Our Valued Customers:
You may notice something new at DomainTools.com very shortly. We will be releasing a redesigned website, one that better aligns the company around our mission to build and deliver the most powerful domain name and DNS-based threat intelligence products worldwide. Like many Software-as-a-Service companies, we want to separate the part of our site that talks about products and services from the site where your valuable work actually gets done.
Longtime users that only visit DomainTools for Whois lookups, or that start their research with a Whois lookup, should bookmark whois.domaintools.com. Once we release the new site, you can always get there by clicking the โWhoisโ button in the navigation pane that will persist at the top of every page.
The new DomainTools.com site will be a place where visitors can learn about our solutions and products, as well as read help content, white papers, API documentation, and more. While the new site is designed to educate the increasing number of new visitors from the cybersecurity world, we hope that everyone takes the time to explore the range of offerings available from DomainTools.
Lastly, thank you for being a loyal customer! As always, we welcome your feedback at any time to team@domaintools.com.
Sincerely,
The DomainTools Team
