Once you go Mac, you never go back, they said.
Bah humbug.
With Apple pushing the element of thinness and weight for its range of Macbooks, they fail to promote other important elements these machines lack in.
First of all, stability and serviceability.
Once it starts misbehaving for unknown reasons, good luck getting your Macbook fixed anywhere outside of an Apple store, where they charge a nice fee to get you going.
Norwegian domain investor, Stian Holtet, recently replaced his Macbook Air with a brand new Dell XPS 13.
The quad HD touchscreen laptop puts Macbooks to shame with its specifications; the Dell is constructed with aluminum, carbon fiber and gorilla glass.
And if the laptop needed servicing, ever, it’d be at a fraction of the cost Apple charges.
Holtet is now looking forward to being more productive with his day to day tasks that involve domaining.
Smart move, Stian! 😀
Dell, as in “capacitor plague” Dell, really? Apple may be pricey but every time I see a colleague with a junky falling-apart Dell machine I’m reminded why I switched to Mac. Never going back.
