Escrow.com released its Domain Investment Index report for the second quarter (Q2/2024) of this year. It is an important quarterly report that takes the pulse of the domain industry’s metrics.
In Q2/2024, Escrow.com facilitated domain name sales totaling $90 million USD, a 7% increase from the total of $84 million USD in domain name sales transacted in the previous quarter.
The value of .ai domains has eased slightly, coming down to a total of $1.8 million dollars in Q2/2024 from record heights of $2.6 million in Q1/2024.
The value of domains containing a hyphen (‘-’) increased to $2.5 million dollars.
The median price of four character .com domains also increased, doubling from $7,500 USD in Q1/2024 to $15,000 USD in this quarter.
