The domain name ExecutiveBranch.com has been acquired by a new venture co-founded by Donald Trump Jr.
According to WHOIS data records provided by DomainTools, the domain changed hands in late March. The venture, called Executive Branch, was formed as a private, by invitation-only club that charges $500,000 dollars to its members.
The Executive Branch kicked off with a launch party Saturday night, drawing at least half a dozen Trump administration officials, plus a crowd of wealthy CEOs, tech founders, and policy insiders.
Founding members include White House crypto czar David Sacks, crypto investors Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, and tech investor Chamath Palihapitiya.
A trademark application for EXECUTIVE BRANCH was filed on March 21st at the USPTO on an intent-to-use basis, for the following products or services:
Private members dining club services in the nature of providing food and drink; Private members drinking club services in the nature of providing drinks for guests
Registered in 1997, the domain name ExecutiveBranch.com was acquired by GoDaddy during the World Wide Media portfolio acquisition of domain investor Michael H. Berkens in 2015. It was moved to NameFind, the storefront of GoDaddy-owned domain names. Berkens appears to have acquired ExecutiveBranch.com for $1,951 dollars at a SnapNames auction in 2005 (Source: NameBio.)
We can guesstimate that the recent sales price of ExecutiveBranch.com was in the low five figures, as most NameFind-listed domains are priced or max out in that range.
In recent weeks, other domains were acquired by Donald Trump’s administration and family for considerably more.
