It’s one of the best-kept secrets of domaining:
A secret domain forum, operated by ripe, established members of the domain industry that function under the radar of conferences and chatrooms!
It’s the Domain Panic Room – a domainer society where only VIP members invite others; to be approved by the Guild of Twelve and eventually by the Domain Panic Room webmistress, Linda Honeydrip.
“I wanted to join the Domain Panic Room for months”, says NYC domainer Marcus Warcus.
“At first I thought I’d just email the owner but I was told that unless 3 VIP members vouched for me, I would never be accepted. So I had to do a lot of butt-kissing.”
Marcus managed to get 3 votes from Domain Panic Room members and he was accepted to the Domain Panic Room. At first, he was excited but soon things turned ugly.
“I thought we’d be brainstorming and stuff, you know, like professionals networking and talking about alliances and whatnot. But one day Linda Honeydrip asked me what my favorite color was and apparently I gave her the wrong answer.”
Marcus was soon kicked out and banned for life from the Domain Panic Room, where membership has diminished recently.
Indeed Linda Honeydrip rules the Domain Panic Room like a Roman emperor would once rule Rome; this totalitarian approach to domaining has not phased out the need for new members.
Linda Honeydrip decided that on Valentine’s day most – if not all – new applications will be approved, and is inviting new “blood” to the Domain Panic Room.
“Well, the truth is that some former members call me names and portray me as a really evil person, which I’m not”, says Linda Honeydrip.
“I really am a very sweet person that enjoys a bit of a powertrip at times”, she adds smiling. “But which forum owner does not do that? It’s why we pay the damn vBulletin fees for!”
In order to bypass the “3 VIP vouch” rule, all new applicants must sign an affidavit of allegiance to Domain Panic Room and quit from all other competing domainer forums. They must also close down their blogs, if any, and must sell or drop any non .com domains in their portfolio.
Applications start at 12 noon today – don’t miss it. 😀

I hear even Father Domainicus’ membership application was turned down, despite his direct connection to the Domain Lord.
Jeff – To be accurate, even the Domain Lord has been banned, but today is the “feel the love” day. Did you apply for membership?
That forum is so secret virtually no one knows it even exists. It’s also a reason so many heavy hitters no longer post or appear rarely on DNF, NP, etc.
I must admit I too was banned by the secret forum in 2009. A year later when I reapplied for admission and extended an Olive Branch I was told no way.
Even though I am banned and no longer required to keep the secret forum secret, I still feel uncomfortable in revealing the secret forum and owners identity, even though ironically my revealing some info on the secret forum was a reason for my initial banning!..
David – Don’t feel bad. If one wasn’t banned at some point at Domain Panic Room that’s because they are great at kissing butt 😀
I am NOT a member of domain PANIC room and NEVER will be. (read my post in 5 years to SEE I’m right) My partner, who attended my RIVAL’s event will be CAST OUT of my living room.
@David. Many still talk about that sad day that you passed out of the gates of our hallowed DPR. Of course after you deleted most DPR members from your facebook, well we knew, you had to go. The main benefit of being a member of DPR is that it drives Owen Frager nuts and makes him self destruct in public; well worth it. Gotta go as I have to pick up my broom at the shop.
Honey
Don ‘da King – I hope you two can work it out 😀
Linda Honeydrip – Facebook and social media are evil, long live DPR and secret domainer gatherings. Did you get many applications today as expected? 😀
@Lucius I got lots of applicants but only 4 included the $1k admission fee and of those only 2 knew my favorite color was chartreuse, so I have 2 new members. The rest I sent to Tia so she can have her own forum. Now there are two more members to laugh at Owen Frager.
Linda Honeydrip #2 – That’s cool but I see that your location changed from British Columbia in Canada to Chicago, Illinois. Perhaps Owen Frager is right that you use a broomstick for transportation?
Tia already has her own forum, weren’t you invited? I’m shocked.
Fun post on this special day for lovers. Who knew!! :wink wink:
I’ve heard about their initiations and hazing. No thanks! No climbing “the greased pole” for me.
Yuck!
Domain Panic Room is awful, there’s no countdown threads to buyouts… no appraisal requests for worthless-garbage-123.biz… no flame wars… no blind leading the blind. What’s the fun in that?
I can’t wait for mama cougar Honeydrip to permaban me so I can re-join all the noize 🙂
Happy V-Day! I <3 Domain Gang.

Sorry for this very s-l-o-w reply. FYI, did not delete ‘most’ members from my facebook (just a few) and that was only ‘after’ (not before) Donna said not even one of my former DBR good friends online at the time voted in favor of my returning to the board, so I was a little pi**sed-off at that time, for which I now apologize.
Group hug time! 😀
