Flippa – the domain and web site marketplace from Down Under – has made a fundamental change to its listings.
According to the latest news, one can now negotiate to buy any domain name or web site on listings that were not sold.
In other words, if the seller of an unsold listing is open to offers, there will be a “Make an offer” link on the listing of that auction.
Why is Flippa making this change?
“For buyers, it means you have more options to buy, during or after an auction, for sellers it means you have more opportunities to sell. Previously when an auction ended unsold, the Seller could only negotiate with the highest bidder from the auction for a week after the auction ended. […] Now any interested party can negotiate – no matter how long ago it was, or whether you actually bid in the auction.”
