Francois, the domain entrepreneur from the land of baguette, cheese and red wine, announced that he’s going after the so-called “Cyber Monday” users.
“My company, I call, Cybertonic and for years I found abuse mark. Who Yankee use Cyber Lundi for my brand?” said Francois, while sipping on vanilla coffee at a Montmartre bistro.
“This Cyber this, cyber that, it dilute trademark Cybertonic. As Napoleon said, attack is the best defense, so I plan sue Cyber Monday for Lundi is Monday, no?” he added.
It is not clear whether this is going to be a full-fledged lawsuit or a UDRP against any domain that uses “Cyber Monday” to promote the online sale of otherwise unsellable goods.
With the Cyber Monday producing as much as $4 billion dollars in sales, Francois might be looking into some hefty revenue from the use of his Cybertonic mark.
We’ll have to wait and see.

Thanks for the idea, I just registered cybermontag.de (funny how the .com was taken and not the .de)
Lennard – Well now Francois will have to come after you as well!
We had a proof of concept test for CyberLundi.com back in 2011 (invested at best 1 hour) with a couple of hundred unique visitors and 3-4 hours to develop the site further this year in 2012 and it proved itself with perhaps about 3-4K unique visitors in past 36 hours and counting.
If the sale on Flippa (https://flippa.com/2852296-cyber-monday-in-french-is-cyber-lundi-cyberlundi-com) doesn’t work out than we’ll leverage it to the max in 2013!
