There is not much to say about gTLDs, other than they are here to stay.
Whether you like it or not, there is plenty of action across the first 21 gTLDs, with more than 140,000 registered in less than three weeks.
Some of these domains, however, leave a lot to be desired.
The response would be, what was their registrant thinking?
Here are some examples, all active web sites! 😀
- ghhtthrththrtht54t4t4465465465x.camera – Registered in Germany.
- 352fefdsfdfdsfds.guru – Registered in Germany
- qs-shop-de-0214-160801-1.camera – Another German registrant
- fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff.guru – Registered by a Spaniard
- vtrhost33333.holdings – German registrant again
- zzzgaitvvvv.land – Probably bogus info
There are plenty more examples of such ‘random’ registrations that are most likely tests, either by registrars or by individuals testing some type of automatic domain registration API or script.
