Worldwide Media, Inc., the managing entity founded by domain investor, Michael Berkens, dominated the news yesterday.
GoDaddy acquired a 70,000-strong portion of the Worldwide Media, Inc. domain portfolio, opting to leave out adult domain names and new gTLDs.
It is obvious that GoDaddy, wishing to maintain a squeaky clean public image popular with small businesses and many conservative individuals, opted to not acquire the impressive adult names portfolio of Worldwide Media, Inc.
Mike Berkens and GoDaddy did not seem to reach an agreement on the value of the gTLD portion of the domain portfolio.
Included in the sale is an impressive group of 106 LLL .com domain names.
With prices of any three letter .com combinations sitting squarely at $60,000 dollars and above, we can safely say that – at minimum – that portion of the portfolio can be valued at $6,360,000 dollars.
Obviously, the real market value of the three letter .com portfolio sold to GoDaddy, is substantially higher. GoDaddy will be most likely selling those on their domain marketplace, as soon as the sale is finalized.

I was just offered some low quality letter LLL.coms for $2x,xxx each and I thought it was way too expensive. I wouldn’t say that the minimum is $60k for _any_ letter combo. 😉

yea, the min is around $20-25k now, but many of these are chips, those should go for 60k
