GWhois, operating from GWhois.org, is built using a modern code architecture, promising the following features:
- Authority – performing Whois lookups the right way by starting from the root (IANA).
- Transparency – showing each step of the Whois lookup and all the data within.
- Privacy – only performing live Whois lookups. No caching of any user data.
- Security – encrypting all connections over HTTPS.
GWhois asserts that it’s not caching Whois lookups, and all assets are hosted locally to your machine.
