Hinge is a new app, currently available exclusively on iPhone; those among us that are single, will be happy to learn that the app will attempt to find them dates.
Not just random dates, mind you, but compatible people from friends of Facebook friends. 😀

In other words, Hinge and its assorted web site, Hinge.co, will attempt to act as a modern go-between, for those that use Facebook as their social outfit. This is yet another start-up using the trendy .CO TLD to launch a product or service.
The company is currently at its initial funding stage, having received angel funding of under a million dollars; the Hinge app was launched in Washington DC – an area with a high population density of singles. Hinge is coming to New York City in April, and several other cities will follow, according to Bennett Richardson, co-founder and CMO of Hinge.
