Honest Co., actress Jessica Alba‘s environmentally-friendly baby care startup has an estimated worth of $1 billion dollars, according to the World Street Journal.
After securing a $70 million investment, Jessica Alba and Honest Co., are busy promoting the sales of toxic-free, environmentally friendly products.
The company’s annual revenue is expected to exceed $150 million in 2014, about three times the revenue of 2013.
Honest Co. operates from Honest.com, a domain name that was acquired for merely $180,000 dollars in 2011. The seller was Anything.com, a domain portfolio investor headquartered in the Cayman Islands.
From an initial investment of $180,000 dollars to a valuation of $1 billion dollars, the importance of operating from a generic dot .com domain is once again paramount.
