JU.com, a premium two letter .com domain, has changed hands.
The LL .com moved from Chinese ownership to new owners in Singapore—a surprise move, as most of the time the Chinese acquire two letter .com domains and these rare assets get locked for good.
This time around, JU.com is being used as Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange called Jubi. JU.com now forwards to the corporate web site Jbex.cc.
According to their web site:
“Founded in 2013, Jubi.com is one of the earliest online digital asset trading platforms in the world. In 2020, Jubi.com was wholly-owned by Singapore Uniweb Group, and the new domain name JU.COM was launched. In March of the same year, it obtained the exemption from the Singapore Monetary Authority.”
Surely a wasteful use of a two letter .com domain as a URL forwarder!
Kudos: Domain investor George Kirikos.
