Keyword.com and its associated business has been sold to the SaaS Group, a Software-as-a-Service portfolio company.
Operating from the domain SaaS.group, the company acquires promising SaaS companies with a founder-friendly process in order to elevate their product – and their people – to the next level.
What’s the story behind Keyword.com? According to its founder, Kevin Zhou:
I remember sitting at home during high school coding the first lines of Keyword.com a decade ago.
Back then it wasn’t even called SaaS, but a website with recurring payments. There was no Stripe, just Paypal and 2CheckOut. What a different world. What began as a curious inquiry last year has finally turned into an exciting announcement.
Interestingly, Kevin Zhou had to acquire the domain Keyword.com, a 1997 registration from its previous owner. That acquisition took place in November 2018 and the sale most likely took place on Sedo. The project’s original name was SerpBook.
