Greece has a new prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, after general elections were held on Sunday.
The 51 year old conservative politician and president of the New Democracy party, comes from a Cretan family with a long tradition in Greek politics.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis aspires to make a substantial change in how Greece was ruled internally by outgoing leftist prime minister, Alexis Tsipras. He has vowed to unite all Greeks under a common vision and to restore the economy, cutting taxes and reducing unemployment.
Mr. Mitsotakis often goes by simply “Kyriakos” among his New Democracy (Nea Dimokratia) fans, but it seems that despite being a technocrat educated at both Harvard and Stanford universities, he does not own his .com domain.
The domain name KyriakosMitsotakis.com is in the hands of HugeDomains, the biggest privately held domain portfolio holders in the world. The domain name that matches “Kyriakos Mitsotakis” is being offered with a $100 dollar discount currently, for the total sum of $1,695 dollars, or about 1500 euro.
Surely, the media department of New Democracy would “splurge” this much for its president’s domain!
Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis isn’t the only Greek politician whose exact match .com is up for sale; AlexisTsipras.com is a “bargain” selling for only $599 currently.
