If you registered a bunch of domain names containing “Libra” and either “Facebook” or “PayPal” you’re obviously in violation of famous marks.
Newbie domainers that do this mass registration of useless Libra domains do so due to ignorance, but it’s also due the “lemming effect.”
The good news is that PayPal pulled out of the financial coalition that was formed to create a support base for the Libra cryptocurrency.
Facebook is definitely at loss here, as they announced the plan without having a short time frame.
“PayPal has made the decision to forgo further participation in the Libra Association at this time and to continue to focus on advancing our existing mission and business priorities as we strive to democratize access to financial services for underserved populations,” said PayPal in a statement.
Facebook and its Libra project have received extensive scrutiny from the US government. House members are currently pushing for Zuckerberg to testify on Facebook’s cryptocurrency plans.
Should you register any more Libra domain names? Hopefully, you should know by now, that the right answer is “no” and that you should delete the ones you have, pronto!
