Goodbye “Got Milk?” campaign – you milked the consumer industry for a good 20 years.
Since 1994, the milk industry’s iconic ads promoted the necessity of milk in our daily diet, utilizing celebrities in their “Got milk?” ads.
But no more.
Starting tomorrow, a new advertising campaign will utilize “Milk Life” as the new motto; the campaign has been in the works for a year now, at a cost of $50 million dollars.
Which brings us to the shocking revelation that despite this humongous budget, the sellers of MilkLife.com were paid only $7,000 dollars, according to DNJournal.
The sale occurred at Sedo last October and the proxy buyer was the advertising agency, DraftFCB. This practice is common among large companies that don’t wish to be skinned alive for a domain name.
