Having reported the sale of Move.me on Sedo, by Mike Berkens, we are now following up on its completion: the domain has been transferred to the buyer.
San Francisco-based entrepreneur, Lisa Shanower, appears to be the new owner of the domain name, Move.me, for a so-far undisclosed amount; the sale completed on Sedo.
Knowing Mike Berkens’s selling threshold for domain names, this sale is expected to have topped mid five figures.
Ms. Shanower has formed a corporation, “Move Me, Inc.” around March of 2013; the domain name Move.me is a perfect match for the corporate name. There is a trend, currently, for start-ups to utilize ccTLDs such as .co and .me in order to bypass the unavailability of .com for the desired domain keyword.
According to Ms. Shanower’s profile, she is an “executive entrepreneur focused on the emerging business dynamics of the mobile economy”, possessing a “track record of leveraging technology for new product development aimed at changing the way consumers engage with digital content.”
Ms. Shanower was the co-founder and publisher of Marin Magazine, a media company that produced an award-winning regional magazine. The publication was sold to Open Sky Media on 11/11/11.
Congratulations to Ms. Lisa Shanower and Mike Berkens for a remarkable transaction of a top tier brand.
