Nuclear Now: Oliver Stone went with a “film” domain suffix

Legendary director, Oliver Stone, has produced “Nuclear Now“—a film about the use of nuclear power as a source of energy that will save the planet from imminent climate change.

The film provides a shocking insight to the real enemy of the planet, coal, all while demonstrating the benefits of nuclear power:

  • Low carbon emissions: Nuclear energy is a low-carbon energy source that does not emit greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, which is a major contributor to climate change.
  • High energy density: Nuclear energy has a very high energy density, which means that a small amount of nuclear fuel can produce a large amount of electricity.
  • Energy security: Nuclear energy provides a high level of energy security as nuclear power plants can operate independently of weather or other external factors that can affect other renewable energy sources.

In doing so, “Nuclear Now” uses the domain name NuclearNowFilm.com as the film’s web site. The domain was registered in February with the film premiering in theaters on April 28th.

It would have been great to acquire the exact match domain name, NuclearNow.com, that was registered 20 years ago, in 2003 and which is available in the domain aftermarket.

The domain NuclearNow.com is in the possession of BuyDomains with a BIN price of $2,188 dollars. It seems that they are also inviting offers of at least $700 dollars.

It’s a bit bizarre that a large documentary production led by Oliver Stone such as “Nuclear Now” would not spend two thousand dollars to acquire the domain NuclearNow.com!
