Socrates of Brazil - 1954-2011
We read the sad news that former Brazilian soccer player Socrates died at the young age of 57 today.
Socrates was considered to be one of the top midfield players in soccer (football) ever.
In the 1982 World Cup that took place in Spain he was hailed as the graceful magician, with his elegant passes and dribbling and led Brazil to a great match against Italy.
His full name, however, will be detrimental in the unlikely attempt by cybersquatters and fans alike to register any domains: Sócrates Brasileiro Sampaio de Souza Vieira de Oliveira.
Not an easy domain to remember so it’s not registered, obviously.
Rest in peace, Socrates. You will be missed. 🙁
