Premium domain listings at Squdhelp are allowed to be cross-listed on Afternic and the Sedo MLS; in contrast, they are not allowed on Dan.com.
Unlike Afternic that accepts domain listings directly from Dan.com using an API, Squadhelp has decided to not utilize Dan.com as a permitted platform for cross-posting domains.
Apparently, this decision requires the policing of such listings and the reason is simple, as Darpan Munjal, founder of Squadhelp explained:
“The premium listings are exclusive to SH, given the substantial marketing investment. We do allow listing on AN and Sedo (MLS) to maximize exposure via registrar path as well. This covers majority of sale venues that attract end user traffic.
Adding any other platform without automated management control would lead to operational overhead and dilution, without a meaningful increase in sales.”
Mr. Munjal noted that this might change in the future:
Having said that, we are ready and willing to add ANY major platform that allows us to add & manage our listings via API access.
Apparently, Dan.com does offer an API access to perform actions; perhaps Squadhelp should look into this.
