It’s been a great summer for Telepathy, operators of a great portfolio of ultra-premium domain names.
The latest sale involves the three letter (LLL) .com domain MFD.com, as recent WHOIS changes indicate.
Registered in 1998, MFD.com had been in the possession of Nat Cohen‘s company since at least 2001, if not sooner. This is yet another example of how premium domains, when held long-term, can provide a sizable return on investment.
The buyer of MFD.com already possesses a great domain name, Manufactured.com, as the LLL .com now forwards there.
Judging by the buyer’s financial footprint and knowing Telepathy.com‘s ability to generate large sales, we’d estimate that this sale involved at least a quarter of a million dollars.
Congratulations, Nat!
