Pope Benedict XVI will address the throngs of online visitors frequenting adult .XXX domain names during a special Easter mass.
“We are compiling data of members of the Catholic church with cookies tracking visits of .XXX domains,” said Francisco Spiccoli, spokesperson for the Vatican.
“All data is then eulogized and our mission of delivering salvation to our fellow sinners continues,” added Spiccoli.
To be broadcasted from the Vatican’s Internet division, the pontiff’s message will address several key elements regarding pornography and religion:
- Nudity and sin: Blaming the online media.
- The human body as the Church of Jesus Christ.
- Resurrection: The iPhone / Android app.
- Domain registrations: Are .XXX domain names a sin or a path to salvation?
The Pope will send his message out to millions of devout believers of the faith, hoping that his sermon will be easier to perceive by using modern technology such as twitter, facebook and pinterest.
Meanwhile, the domain names Pope.xxx and Vatican.xxx remain safe-guarded at the ICM Registry; at least until The Holy See decides to develop them.
Not cute….Not funny….. Attacking, even in jest, someone else’ s religion and church is a sure way
for your blog to be ignored.
Alan – Domaining and Church are separated. Father Domainicus is the deliverer of the Word of our Domain Lord. Amen.
Contrary to Alan’s stance, I find it highly amusing. If we can’t ‘extract the urine’ now and then, as we say in the UK (home of our revered Father Domainicus), then I have to say tish, pish and bollo.xxx to it.
