Theranos.com, the corporate domain of defunct health technology start-up Theranos, has been pointing to porn content.
The domain is still in the possession of Theranos IP LLC, but somehow its DNS, provided by DNS Made Easy, was forwarding visitors to a lander with adult content. DNS Made Easy is a DNS management services provider for enterprises and small businesses.
The content on Theranos.com varied, but it appears to have involved explicit dating web sites displaying nudity [NSFW] as recently as in late August; this has now changed to an “expired service” lander by DNS Made Easy:
It’s not clear if an existing service was disconnected or expired, or whether DNS Made Easy took initiative to terminate the services.
The domain Theranos.com is newsworthy as Theranos CEO, Elizabeth Holmes, is in trial accused of facilitating a multi-million dollar fraud.
