Greek fintech startup, Viva Wallet Group, has acquired the domain Viva.ai using the domain acquisition services of Lumis.
The company acquired Viva.com, along with More.com, in 2023.
Viva Wallet is a Greek‑based, cloud‑native bank and payments processor active in 20‑plus European markets. Revenue has surged from €44 m in 2020 to about €130 m in 2021 and grew another 49% in 2023.
JPMorgan bought 48.5% of the company for roughly €810 m in 2022, putting Viva Wallet’s valuation near €1.7 bn after earlier backing from Tencent, the EBRD, and Breyer Capital. The group employs around 700 staff and operates under a Greek banking licence.
Many companies in the global financial sector are investing in AI, either directly or with the implementation of AI-centric products. It’s refreshing to witness them acquire domain names as well.
