Twitter has sold a large portion of its database of a few billion tweets – that includes yours and mine as well – to data mining company DataSift.
As long as you have been tweeting for the past two years, DataSift will now own your messages, witticisms and embarrassing public messages – having bought them from Twitter for a high but undisclosed sum.
According to The Daily Mail, Datasift charges companies up to 10,000 British pounds a month to analyze tweets posted each day for anything said about their products and services.
