Popular domain discussion forum, DNForum.com owner Adam Dicker has closed down the forum’s Politics section.
The section existed for a long time, polarizing domainers into liberals and conservatives; often times the intensity of commentary led to heated discussions with rude words and insults flying around.
Adam’s statement:
“Due to the immature behaviour of a group of individuals the politics forum is now closed. Please feel free to discuss your political views elsewhere. Any further political agendas against users WILL reesult in permanent bans. Now back to domaining.”
I like this.. It was pretty distracting on DNF and certainly polarizing yet entertaining enough to get me to spend too much time reading some of the arguments. I never chose to go to the politics forum on DNF but I use the search ‘new posts’ feature quite a bit and at times half of the new posts I would see were political.
Seems like Adam should open a political forum where dnf’ers can go and argue with each other about politics, haha.
Mike – I think the “new posts” suffered a lot from those political posts. Agreed, the section won’t be missed – until election time! 😀
……………Hallelujah!
