Spooky? No WIPO proceedings until Halloween!

WIPO is closed until Halloween – that is, Monday October 31st, 2011.

The reason? An electrical fire. How befitting of this spooky season!

Not a joke either. As one can see by visiting http://arbiter.wipo.int

As a result of an electrical fire on the WIPO premises today, certain WIPO services will be unavailable until Monday October 31, 2011.

For the purposes of WIPO’s registration services, (PCT, Madrid System, Hague System, Arbitration and Mediation Center), WIPO is closed for business on October 27 and 28.

This week’s publications of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) can be accessed at http://www.wipo.int/PubWeek432011

The meeting of the Standing Committee on the Law of Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications (SCT), which was to end on October 28, 2011, has been suspended.
