Facebook is expanding its intent to seek world domination of personal information by acquiring Gowalla – the location sharing service that is more annoying than rival Foursquare.
The acquisition was made for an undisclosed sum, rumored to be in the $40 to $60 million dollars.
Gowalla had previously raised $10 million from angel investors; the acquisition essentially integrates the service seamlessly into Facebook.
Expect more personal information about your location and traveling habits to be leaked, should Facebook ever got compromised.
