Domain investor Anunt Patel, who acquired Flowers.mobi from Rick Schwartz for $6,500 a while back, has confirmed that 1-800-Flowers is the new owner of the domain.
News of the sale was broken by Elliot Silver at his blog.
To avoid speculation about the selling price, we asked Anunt, who told us that the selling price of Flowers.mobi was $5,000.
Dot mobi is not the most popular of TLDs, but regardless, Anunt’s investment sustained a loss of only 23% – in contrast, Rick Schwartz lost a staggering 96% of his $200,000 investment.

Everybody loses money with this deal.
Poor Rick, lol. Maybe he can recoup all the losses and more with a .me sale or something crazy…
Not the guy who sold it to Rick, and not the auction houses.
I sold Flowers.mobi for $5k to Flowers.com
Flowers.com — very nice guys — they paid the whole escrow.com fee without even asking.
I have bought and sold thousands of domain names thru escrow.com and escrow fee is always split 50/50 between buyer and seller…but these guys at Flowers.com picked up the tab without asking!
I am going to send them Flowers thru Flowers.mobi … LOL
Welcome back DG….too bad flowers mobi is down so I cannot send flowers to you.
Fatherly kisses to both cheek
